Hi Pfefferchen! Good to read you
Yes, I'm fine. Busy year? Did you finally move to Canada?

Thanks for the film, Red! It arrived today.
Hi Pfefferchen, good to read you. Any news about your habilitation? Is an end in sight?

You're welcome, Calgaeum, hope you like it!
And thanks to ratti for the books. I've just prevented them from a freezing cold night at the Packstation

Re: Bookworms United: Chat & Swap
I’m fine thanks. Last year and especially the second half has been very busy. And while spending most of my working time in front of a computer I really didn’t want to spend my spare time this way. Therefore no appearance over here.
How are you? You’ve swapped the language in here. How come? Well, not that I mind...
Is any one of you familiar with knitting patterns in English? I’d like to knit a jacket but unfortunately the pattern (Strickanleitung) is in English and to my mind written in a very complicated way. My English and Irish friends are so not into knitting, therefore no help
Sunny Sunday

Re: Bookworms United: Chat & Swap
Hi Liffey, awfully sorry - can't help you with your knitting pattern. I tend to keep my knitting simple and straight; anything more complicated and I'd have to start from scratch ever so often - meaning I'd never finish the piece.
Have a sunny Sunday, everybody!

Re: Bookworms United: Chat & Swap
Just a short reminder:
*** calgaeum is no. 322 ***
Extras:
- all my Swapper books (I am frida there)
- Finding Nemo – DVD / UK Import
- Allan and Barbara Pease: why men don't listen and women can't read maps
- Joseph Wambaugh: Finnegan's Week
- and a German book: Andreas Föhr: Eisenberg
I have added one extra, but I'm afraid I've been busy with other things and haven't got around to looking for more books I could tempt you with. Oh, and early next week I'll have to set my shelves to sleep mode as I'll be away for the rest of the week, visiting relatives I haven't seen for ages.

Hi Pfefferchen, hi Liffey!
@ Liffey - I knit, but I too mostly use German patterns, so I probably wouldn't be any help. I should add -- when I use patterns at all. I tend to make up my projects given the wool I have on hand.
